Announcing Centralia Super Heroes
Mission: Centralia Super Heroes is a creative endeavor to support area schools and build community assets by developing individual student skills, raising the level of self confidence and strengthening the sense of community in our students through one-on-one mentoring.

Centralia Super Heroes needs you! In an effort to serve all students who are in need in our area, we need more mentors. If you can't mentor then please consider a pledge.

WHO
Are you under the age of 18 and a student in the Centralia Area Schools? Then you can be a Centralia Super Hero.
WHY
You’ll have fun while you help yourself become a better person. You’ll enjoy being involved in the academic activities you like while helping yourself and your community. You’ll be a “Super Hero.”
WHERE
Currently Centralia Super Heroes meets at Centralia Junior High School and at Characters Beyond Books in Downtown Centralia. As we grow we will expand to other Centralia area schools.
WHAT
Centralia Super Heroes is a one-on-one mentoring program. You will have the undivided attention of an adult volunteer that will help you achieve and be who you want to be.
COST
It's FREE.
Watch for Centralia Super Heroes this Fall. You can become a Centralia Super Hero by signing up in your school office.

The “Super Heroes” Mentoring program is sponsored by Centralia SINA, Southern Illinois Networking Association. We believe in the youth of our community and wish to serve and support this valuable resource, but we need lots of help.

To qualify to be a mentor, you must care about kids, be willing to donate 1 hour of your time or more each month. In order to keep our kids safe, mentors will be asked to submit to a background check.

That’s it! You don’t have to be some kind of an expert. We’ll give you the guidance you need to do your part at building super heroes.

The Centralia Chapter of SINA is an active group of business leaders that are also committed to serving the community in which they do business. However to ensure the success of this important endeavor, we realize that we will need the support and cooperation of many other groups and Centralia leaders.

We are looking for all groups and organizations that are interested in partnering with SINA to support our area youth in academic excellence and the application of their skills for the good of all.

We will need modest financial support from area companies that we hope will benefit greatly from a talented workforce. We also need the support from organizations that can provide people resources.
